Mr. Anderson

It is now possible for my students to borrow audio books from the local public library. This makes it possible for the entire class to be working with the same book, thanks to digital copies.

Also, some university professors have taken advantage of the technology by creating mp3 files of poetry read by the author. Students are able to download the files and listen to their assignments around campus.

However, the availability of audio books does make it hard for me to know if my students are actually reading assignments or listening to the chapters, which can pose a problem for addressing literacy standards in education. This is because actual reading comprehension may be neglected.
